Maneuvering rather poorly through his early adulthood in the same small town that once housed his innocence and comfort is Nathan Demeter. A billiard fanatic, who struggles to adjust to the ever changing world around him. From the loss of his mother still echoing within his every move, to his precarious relationship with his high school sweetheart, Morgan, stretching thin, Nathan is placed at a crossroads. PRODUCTION

Mirrors In Triumph (2025) has quite a long history. The idea of this billiard based film was conceived by the writer/director back in the last few years of the 2010s. An Ottawa native, they spent the ladder half of their high school career at the signature and monumental pool hall, The Orange Monkey. Due to their after school time being spent at the tables in such a mesmerizing atmosphere, the concept of a pool based movie was planted and only continued to grow.

Years went by before the writer/director hatched a plan to pursue this story and be able to finally deliver their long awaited directorial debut. It took the front seat of a very ambitious and independently driven production that - on a budget of only $15,000 (CAD) of the writer/directors own savings - would find its way all over Eastern Canada for production. Actors, extras, crew, and additional help signed on and came from Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, to even the far away lands of Matapedia! The screenplay was completed in mid 2022 while filming didn’t officially begin until the fall of ‘22.

Months were devoted by a remarkable cast and crew, and although post-production began around Christmas of ‘22, filming continued into the early months of 2023. By the summer of ‘23, post production was well underway. The writer/director - and eventual editor - took some time off and was able to have a rough draft for Christmas of 2023. A year later at the tail end of 2024, the film was finally complete.

Featuring music from various Canadian artists: Lowkey Gwap, Melo Griffith, and Cole Seawell, along with the production going all over the Eastern side of the country, Mirrors in Triumph is proud to be labelled as a product of Ottawa and Canada. The film is unapologetically a Canadian project, as well as the debut Feature Length Film of ERA ERA Films.

At the soul of our cinematic venture lies a passion for creative exploration and storytelling. An approach where every frame is not crafted for a sense of perfection, but instead for a means of purpose. We dedicate ourselves to the pursuit of making movies. Plain and simple. Our aim is to be honest and genuine. To not sacrifice our drive for what others may say we “should” do. A love for movies and the crafting of them is all we have, and truthfully, it is all we need.
